Sizing & Assembly Guide for Beginners

If you are new to chastity, finding the right size can be a tedious trial and error process if you don’t know what you’re doing. In this guide, I will show you the best step-by-step approach to take to help you find your ideal size, so you can start enjoying your device even sooner!

Before We Begin:

  • Bigger is better – when starting off, it’s better to start with components (rings/spacers/anti-pullouts) that are too large/spacious, and then working your way down to smaller sizes.

  • It still takes time – it is unlikely you will find your ideal sizes on the first one or two attempts. In addition, some parts make take up to a few days before you realize it’s the wrong size. Don’t try to rush the process; you will be less satisfied and it will take longer if you do.

  • Listen to your body – You are going to be experiencing many new sensations and feelings down there. If something is pinching/hurting/uncomfortable, your body is telling you something, don’t ignore it. Remove the device to see what’s happening, and if something needs to be adjusted.

  • Watch the assembly video – This will make the upcoming steps much easier if you do – Link to Assembly Video.

FIRST ASSEMBLY

Step 1 – Sizing The Ring:

  • Find the ring size that fits a little loose around your scrotum. You should have enough room to fit 1-2 finger-tips between the ring and skin. Once closed, find the longest locking pin (D) and slide it through.

  • The ring should now sit comfortably on your body, and not slide off. If you feel it is tight, or you notice any discoloration (blueish/purplish color or pale white and cold) with your shaft or testicles, then the ring is too tight and needs to be moved up one size and tried again.

Step 2 – Preparing The Cage:

  • Start with the longest spacer (D), and snap the 4 prongs into the cage – it should “snap” into place. Next, get some lubrication or lotion (we recommend unscented moisturizing lotion), and rub a small amount of it around the inside of the cage, covering as much of the inside surface as possible (you don’t need a lot here, it just needs to be spread out). Now comes installing the cage.

Step 3 – Fighting Off The Erection:

  • If you’re like most on your first lockup, you may be sporting a fantastic erection at this point. We’re going to need to calm that down. Try to distract yourself with a chore or something mentally tedious (like math), until you feel yourself getting soft, very soft, and very calm. Until you even forget you’re wearing the ring (you’re still wearing it right?!).

  • If you are impatient, you can also ice your erection down until it is soft.

Step 4 – Assembling The Cage:

  • Now it’s time to be quick. Take a little bit of lubrication/lotion, and coat your flaccid penis (again, only a little amount is needed). Then stick the head of your penis into the cage, and slide it over your shaft until the back-end of the spacer is close to the locking pin sticking out of the ring.

  • Align the cage so the locking pin slides through the hole and continue to sliding it on until it meets with the ring. You may need to stick a finger underneath the top of the ring to tuck your skin away from the parts coming together here. Once the cage meets the ring, hold it there until Step 6.

  • If you happen to get an erection during assembly, don’t force it on. Go back to Step 3 and try again.

Step 5.1 – Locking Cap (Mini-Plus):

  • Take the locking cap (no anti-pullout), and slide it over the cage and locking pin. Then squeeze all of the parts together while you slide the padlock through the hole and lock it shut.

  • It’s best to not use the anti-pullouts in the beginning, and instead, use the locking cap during your first few assemblies. This will help you identify your ideal ring and spacer sizes much easier than adding the complexity of an additional component.

Step 5.2 – Anti-Pullout (Mini-Plus):

  • When you are ready for the Anti-Pullouts, START WITH THE LARGEST anti-pullout first. Align the hinge to the tongue groove at the bottom of the cage. Slowly clamp the anti-pullout in place until it is fully closed around the locking pin. Slide the padlock through and lock it shut.

  • When sizing the anti-pullout, be sure to start with the largest and wait 2 days for the skin to mold to the texture to get the maximum security effect. If you find the anti-pullout is still not secure at that time, then downsize to the next smallest size. In the beginning, be sure to remove the device every 3-5 days to check on the skin to ensure there are no adverse reactions to the anti-pullout.

Step 6 – You Are Officially Locked Up!

Congratulations! You are now locked up. Continue to the “Sizing Trial and Error” Stage.

SIZING TRIAL & ERROR

Now that you’re locked, the fun part begins… testing! Here I will be showing you How to Test, What to Look For, and How to Correct Issues. I have laid them out in the most likely order or discovering if a component is too large/small.

Ring Too Tight

  • Test - Get aroused! Do whatever it is that will get you turned on and sexually charged.

  • Look for - Once your erection is straining against the cage with all of its might, look for discoloration (dark blue/purple) in the testicles, and a tightness around the ring area.
    • A mild discoloration is okay here, but if you are unsure, remove the device.

  • Correct – Remove the device immediately, and attempt to reassemble again with a larger ring size. If the XL is not large enough, we do offer XXL and 3XL rings.

Ring Too Loose

  • Test – When you are flaccid and unaroused. This test can take up to 1-2 days.

  • Look for – The ring has enough space to “bounce around” while assembled. OR the penis pops out behind the ring unintentionally. OR a testicle slips past the ring (if this happens, please see TESTICLE SLIPPAGE below)

  • Correct – Remove the device and reassemble with the next ring size down. If the S ring is still too large, we do offer XS and XXS rings.

Note: Be sure to figure out the ideal ring size before moving onto spacer sizing, it will make finding the ring sizes much easier.

Spacer Too Loose

  • Test – When you are flaccid and unaroused. This test can take up to 1-2 days.

  • Look for – The head of the penis slipping behind the cage (but not behind the ring). OR the head of the penis is not reaching the head of the cage. OR a testicle slips past the ring (if this happens, please see TESTICLE SLIPPAGE below)

  • Correct – Remove the cage (ring can stay on if you would like), swap the spacer and locking pin to the next size down. If the ‘A’ spacer is too large, we also offer a smaller Model Z option.

Spacer Too Tight *Be sure ring size is ideal before changing spacer size*

  • Test - Get aroused! Do whatever it is that will get you turned on and sexually charged.

  • Look for - Once your erection is straining against the cage with all of its might, look for discoloration (dark blue/purple) in the testicles, and a pressure where the cage and testicles are touching.
    • A mild discoloration is okay here, but if you are unsure, remove the device.

  • Correct – Remove the cage immediately (ring can stay on if you would like), swap the spacer and locking pin to the next up.

Anti-Pullout Too Loose

  • Test – Wear the device and anti-pullout for a minimum of 2 days.

  • Look for – The penis accidentally slips behind the anti-pullout before the 2 days. OR after 2 days, try tilting the device forward and pulling your penis out. If there is little-to-no resistance, it is too loose.

  • Correct – Remove the anti-pullout and move to the next size down. If the S anti-pullout is too large, we do offer XS and XXS anti-pullouts.

Anti-Pullout Too Tight

  • Test – Wear the device and anti-pullout for 2-4 days. Try to obtain multiple erections during this time.

  • Look for – Pain/discomfort/itching/burning in the anti-pullout region of the penis.

  • Correct – Remove the device immediately and check for any markings on the penis. Try the next size up. If the L anti-pullout is too small, we do offer XL and XXL anti-pullouts.
    • During the initial sizing of the anti-pullout, it is recommended to remove the cage after a few days to check for markings. In very rare cases, customers have experienced no discomfort, but still had an anti-pullout that was too small. We recommend trying a 3-day test, 5-day, 7-day, and 10-day test (resetting the clock each time).

UNIQUE SCENARIOS:

  1. Testicle Slippage – If you experience a testicle slipping past the ring, you either have a ring that is too large, or a spacer that is too large. We recommend following the above steps to find the right ring, and then downsizing the spacer until the slippage stops.
    1. If slippage still occurs after using the ‘A’ spacer, then we also offer a Model Z spacer which is even smaller.

  2. Penis Slippage – If the penis is slipping out of the cage, first ensure the ring is not too large. After the ring, ensure the spacer is not too large. If you are still experiencing slippage, then the anti-pullout is too large.

  3. Hinge of Ring Hurts – If you find the bottom of the ring is causing discomfort, try wrapping a waterproof band-aid around the hinge. This should alleviate the issue.
    1. You can also add surgical tubing to the ring hinge area in lieu of a band-aid
    2. Using lotion or baby oil can also alleviate discomfort

  4. Sharp Pain/Digging at Base of Penis – the spacer is installed backwards. Ensure that the 4 prongs “snap” into the cage, and the two solid bricks of the spacer are inserted into the ring.

  5. Penis Doesn’t Reach Head of Cage – try using a smaller spacer (as long as it does not cause discomfort or discoloration). If the problem still persists, then you likely have a cage that is too large.

  6. My Penis is Too Large/Won’t Fit Inside Of The Cage – please follow the steps in our Measurement Guide. The most important measurement here will be the flaccid diameter. If your diameter is 39 mm or less, then you likely have a cage that is too short.
    1. If you have a diameter larger than 40 mm, then The Vice cage will be too narrow for you.
